Autobiography
I started sailing in 1997 with my girlfriend (now wife) Gillian, by crewing for various people on a Hobie 16 and soon developed the desire to helm himself. The following year I helmed Gillian's Hobie 16 and together we sailed many events, first in South Africa and then in the U.K. (from July 2000). In August of 2002 I bought a spitfire and raced that for 2 years. I then moved onto a Hobie Tiger and raced Formula 18's for a year and then sold it and bought a Capricorn F18.
