Brightlingsea Sailing Club, as always, provided a great event - one of the friendliest we compete at and an event that all should get to.

Congratulations too, to Simon Northrop, on winning the the Traveler Trophy for a second year running - will a hatrick be forthcoming for 14/15.

Simon Northrop and new crew, Josh O'Brien, kick off the season with a narrow victory over Grant Piggott and A Reynolds.  Matt Young and Sam Barker came in third - there was some close racing and with the majority of crews all taking a swim (in one way or another)  during the event, an entertaining time was had by all.  Thanks as always go to DWSC for their efficient running of races.

Win a set of tapered Cat Battens at the RYA dinghy show.

Visit the UK Catamaran racing Association Stand (UKCRA) at the RYA Dinghy Show and enter the F18 class competition to win a set of Cat Battens.

New to the market the tapered Cat Batten comes in three degrees of stiffness: Soft, Medium and Hard so you can tailor to your sail, light and robust.  "Windsport" specialists in performance catatamarans, coaching and replacement parts, carried out development of the Cat Batten throughout last season and launch the Cat Batten as a great alternative to other tappered battens with some useful benefits.

For more information visit UKCRA stand, C4, talk with the F18, enter the competition and test out the product.

Alternatively, enter the on-line competition, here.
